We are book obsessed and had to round up our all time favorite best books!
Every birthday, shower, and celebration you think, “What can I buy that they do NOT already have?” The answer: MORE books! Save your money on cards and give a book instead. Write a note inside to make it extra special! Fill holidays with book – Easter, Valentine- more books please! Less candy to make my kids wild!
My boys love reading together every night before bed. It’s a great chance for us to sit together and wind down before the end of the night.
Yes, you can start reading to your little ones at any age.
Where is Baby’s Belly Button? -This book is a quick read with big easy flips that my sons loved. Karen Kratz has a few other similar books that are so cute too!
Peekaboo Sophie- I have yet to meet a child that doesn’t own a Sophie or like to play peekaboo! Why not read about it. This book allows babies to lift fun flaps and reveal what’s behind.
Love You Forever- This book. Amazing and a classic but don’t attempt to read without tissues close at hand.
Everything is Mama Even if we bought the dada version- Your Babys First Words Will be Dadda– first this one is going on our list! Its just as funny and by Jimmy Fallon!
Goodnight Moon- This book is perfect before bed time. It helps your child relax by saying goodnight to common objects in their own bedroom.
Little Blue Truck– We read this book on repeat and have it in all the holiday versions.
Potty- This book provides such great illustrations for the “potty training stage” toddler. Leslie Patricelli has a handful of other books similar to this that you have to check out!
The Napping House: This was a gift given by the sweetest aunt and uncle ever and our boys LOVE it, its a quick funny read!
Llama Llama Misses Mama– This book is great for any kiddo starting preschool. It uses reading rhymes to tell the story. You can’t go wrong with any of the Llama Llama books. Take a reading break and get the kids dancing to Ludacris rapping llama llama red pajama.
Goodnight Construction Site– What little boy doesn’t love trucks? This book shares the hard work of different types of construction trucks and then tucks them into bed and says goodnight. Great way to prepare for bedtime.
Where Do Diggers Sleep at Night- I have this entire book memorized! By far a fan favorite at our household. My boys love how the mommy trucks put the baby ones to bed.
The Pigeon Needs a Bath! – Have you hit a stage that you little one is trying to stop bathing? This is a fun book that will help them. So many more Pigeon books too that are funny.
Here is how we store books and diapers in our living room
Pig the Pug – We might be biased on thinking this book is hilarious because our boys think he looks like our puggle. This is a great book that teaches littles about sharing will lots of humor. Others in this series include Pig the Winner and Pig the Fibber – which is going to be what the boys need to learn about next.
Dragons Love Tacos: We are big fans of dragons and tacos in the family so its obvious this would be a hit!
The Day the Crayons Quit : This book is really great for all ages there is the learning aspect of colors and pictures but grown up enough for the bigs!
The Wonderfull Things You Will Be : A little lovey book about your littles growing up and obviously all the wonderful things they will be. A mix between I wanna cry and so cute.
Interrupting Chicken: We haven’t read this yet but the reviews sound hilarious! So it will be in the boys Easter Basket this year!
Adding a funny book for parents too, love this for a gift to new parents: Go the **** to Sleep
