Here in the Midwest we are ” fall bucket list ” fanatics. Mainly because we are basic, but also because of all the fun activities that come with fall. Since becoming a mom I really do love to plan as many fun things for the kids, so seasonal bucket lists are my fav!
Today I’m sharing my favorites plus introducing you to all of my favorite bloggers as they are sharing their fall lists too!
Fall Bucket List

Build a Candy Apple Bar
I love that this can be easily tossed together for any party or occasion at your house this fall! Plus you can use some of the apples you grabbed from apple picking!
Tailgating and College Football
This is one that has been on my list for a few years and we finally crossed it off! There is something that just screams “America” walking around a football stadium, seeing the crowd coming together to celebrate hours before the game. We took the boys a little too early and it was still soooo hot, but already have plans to go back this season.

Bonfire | Camping | S’mores
Our boys are still a little too young for me to adventure into true camping, but we love a good bonfire. They actually thought they were camping because we roasted hotdogs and marshmallows over the fire. Last week I taught Carley about chubby bunny – hilarious game we will post in stories!
Pumpkin Patch | Apple Picking
We are so lucky to have multiple farms close to us that bring all the fall feelings and activities in one spot. Eckert’s near St. Louis has multiple locations and the best activities for kids! Hay rides, apple picking, pumpkin patch, animals. Obviously after you grab your pumpkins its time to start carving!
Attend a carnival
There is just something fun about risking your life by getting on a carnival ride! Ha! Our church always has the best fall fest and we love going every year.

Cook Crockpot Chili & Soups
There is nothing I love more than tossing together a fall soup or chili. Perfect for hanging on the pouch or watching a football game on the couch! We are planning to hand out mini chili cups to the parents this year for trick or treating too!
Family Pics
The fall family pics might be the most sought after – everyone with their coordinating outfits. I’m just hoping that the boys are behaving! My go to for fall pictures is everyone tossing the leaves – we are basic!

Projector Movie Nights
Our family is never inside if the temps allow, so making a special movie night with the kids is the best. We take all the pillows and blanket out to the patio and pop up the projector!
Decorate your house
Fall is a fun time to pull out all the pumpkins and pretty colors that I don’t usually have around the house! We don’t have a huge front porch, but I always make sure to really go all out there!
Host a fall block party
Luckily fall brings us the perfect temps, so its the perfect time to gather friends and neighbors to drink some yummy cocktails, carve pumpkins, have a chili contest!

My candy apple bar was so easy to toss together. I melted a big batch of caramel and had several small dishes to dip the apples in!
I thought about having chocolate to dip in too but opted for chocolate syrups to drizzle over the apples instead.
Here is what I included to dip the apples in!
- mini m&m’s
- crushed pretzels
- mini chocolate chips
- mini marshmallows
- pumpkin cake mix
- crushed nuts
- coarse salt – because chocolate | caramel | salt is the best!
- candy corn
- fall sprinkles
Hope you have a few new ideas for your family this season and don’t forget to check out the rest of the gals’ fall bucket lists!
