Around every holiday I try to hype it up by reading new holiday books! Books are always perfect gifts for cousins, neighbors, and besties. My son loves taking new books to school to share with his friends!
Here is our round up for the rest of the year…
Halloween
The Cheerio’s Halloween Play Book: This is just too cute and will give you kids a free pass to play with their food. There are little cutouts in the book to place Cheerios! There is a Christmas version too!
Little Blue Trucks Halloween: This book is actually in our year round rotation because we are LBT obsessed!
The Spooky Wheels on the Bus: Since we are already constantly singing this song, why not just switch it up a little!
Room on the Broom: Witchs & dragons in one book, your kids will love this!
Thanksgiving
Five Silly Turkeys: Gobbly turkey and a little counting practice! LOVE!
Lama Lama Gives Thanks: The entire Lama Lama series is the best! They have a Halloween version too! Have you seen Ludacris rap the Lama Lama Red Pajama book… watch here, hilarious.
I Love to Gobble You Up: This was a gift for my son two years ago and its adorable with felt turkey feathers!
Christmas
If you haven’t started The Elf on the Shelf tradition you need to! It’s such a fun thing to do over the holidays and you can constantly bribe your children that the elf is watching them behave. haha
How to Catch an Elf: it might be easier to read this than moving the elf around every night.
The Grinch’s Great Big Flap Book: This is the shortened version plus added flaps of the classic!
Dear Santa: More lift ups in this book… its the best!
Fa La La: Its a quick read that will take your little one through all the joys of the holiday season!
The Very Hungry Caterpillars Christmas 1 2 3: Another classic turned into a holiday version. Lots of counting practice too!
This is book storage in our play room!
